Library cards are issued free of charge to Texas residents. Children under 18 must obtain parent or legal guardian signature on application. Cards are valid for 3 years and renewed free of charge.
Applicants, including children, must be present at the Library to obtain a library card.
You must provide written proof of address at the time you apply for a library card. This can be one of the following:

You are responsible for material checked out on your library card. Parent or legal guardian is responsible for materials checked out on a card for a person under 18 years of age. Please be aware of this before you loan your card to another person. If your card is lost or stolen, please report it to the library immediately.
