Deer Park City Hall Ribbon Cutting - Tuesday, September 25

City Hall Ribbon Cutting

The public is cordially invited to Deer Park’s City Hall Ribbon Cutting ceremony. The event will be held at the new facility - located next door to the old facility at 710 E. San Augustine - on Tuesday, September 25 at 5PM. The community is encouraged to attend the ribbon cutting, after which City staff will be on hand to lead tours of the building until 6PM.

"On behalf of the City Council and administration, we are very excited to invite our community to take part in this milestone," Mayor Jerry Mouton said. "Our new City Hall facility, which includes new technology and amenities to help us better serve our citizens, will likely be a part of our lives for the better part of the next century. I hope to see many residents and distinguished guests share in this occasion together."

The facility opened to the public on Tuesday, May 22nd. In the 25,000 square foot City Hall building, the City Secretary’s Office, Human Resources, Public Works, Permitting, Central Collections, and Utility Billing are housed on the first floor. The offices on the second floor include Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Public Works administration and Finance.

The building includes a new, state-of-the-art City Council chambers featuring enhanced audio and visual technology.
