Is the keeping of livestock allowed in Deer Park?
Pigs and hogs shall not be kept under any circumstances within the city. It shall be unlawful for any person to keep, own, maintain or possess any livestock within the city closer than 150 feet to the exterior limits of any dwelling, unless the area involved is greater than five acres. To keep such animal, the area of open land available to the animal must exceed one-half acre per horse and two acres per head of any other kind of livestock. There shall be an exception for four-hour residential birthday parties and permitted fairs, carnivals and circuses. (Ordinance No. 3240)
