Friends Spring Book Sale

The Friends of the Deer Park Public Library will hold a Spring Book Sale Thursday - Saturday, March 30 to April 1. Come shop a wide array of adult fiction and non-fiction books, paperbacks, magazines, as well as children and YA titles. Items will be restocked daily so check back in! The Spring Book Sale will feature a Buy a Bag - Stuff a Bag style sale. The Friends will have bags available for a suggested donation of $2 (small bag) or $5 (large bag). Membership renewal and update opportunities will be available. This book sale will be cash only with no change being made. The Friends of the Library support programs for children, teens, and adults, as well as provide prizes for the Summer Reading Programs. Following the 2012 expansion, the Friends purchased and dedicated "The Reading Tree" for children of all ages to enjoy. In 2015, the Friends installed a built-in display case to commemorate the Library's 50th anniversary.

Easter Egg-stravaganza

Deer Park Parks and Recreation's annual Easter Eggstravaganza is an event you do not want to miss this spring. Hop on over to Dow Park on Saturday, April 1st, for a fun-filled Easter celebration! Join us for a morning of events, sidewalk chalk, rubber ducky races, and bunny bingo. Doors open at 9 am, and our egg hunt for those ages six months to 11 years old will begin at 10:30 am.

Easter Pooch Hunt

Join us for our annual Pooch Hunt at the Ella and Friends Dog Park. With over 300 treat filled eggs, every sniffer goes home happy. The Easter Bunny will be onsite for you and your entire family to take pictures with. You would be barking mad to miss this different breed of an egg hunt.
