Ron Crabtree began his career with the City of Deer Park in 1988. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in Building Construction and a Master of Urban Planning degree also from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the International City Manager’s Association, the Texas City Manager’s Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Employees Benefit Pool.

The City Manager implements policy decisions made by the Council; prepares recommended budgets; coordinates City operations and programs; appoints and supervises City personnel, enforces municipal laws and ordinances; and recommends improvements in operations for the City of Deer Park.

Gary Jackson began his career with the City of Deer Park in March 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lamar University in Government and a Master of Public Administration degree also from Lamar University. Mr. Jackson has an extensive background in municipal government management including serving as city manager and/or assistant city manager in cities in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. He is a member of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) and the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC).

The Assistant City Manager provides highly responsible staff assistance to the City Manager, including assisting in providing internal control, coordination of City programs, responding to citizen complaints and requests, preparation and administration of the budget, and assuring that departmental operations are performed in concert with all applicable laws, ordinances, and direction from Council.
