The Parks & Recreation Department operates 4 recreational centers, 14 parks, 24 ball fields, an outdoor Olympic-sized swimming pool with diving well, 6 lighted tennis courts, 2 outdoor racquetball courts, a sand volleyball court, a gym with 2 indoor racquetball courts, a full service weight room and a full size basketball court.
We believe recreation enriches the life of all citizens, physically and intellectually. Please take a look at the recreational opportunities offered by the Parks and Recreation department.
Administrative offices for Parks & Recreation are located in the Deer Park Community Center, located at 610 E. San Augustine. Office hours Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm in the front office and 5pm-9pm in the game room and Saturday from 10am to 3pm, excluding holidays. Summer Fitness-It's the hottest thing!
The end of school is fast approaching and that means summer is almost here. The Parks and Recreation Department is offering a variety of fitness opportunities for you to participate in. From pilates and karate to softball and aqua zumba, there is something for everyone.
Summer Pilates
Strengthen and tone your body, better your posture, regain balance and burn calories. For teens and adults. Certified instructor Manny Rodriguez.

Aqua Zumba
Join us for a Zumba party like never before!!! This is definitely not your typical water workout! Shake, shimmy and sizzle in the water as we create some heat, Zumba Style! Aqua ZumbaŽ is a safe, effective and challenging water based workout that integrates the Zumba formula and philosophy into traditional aqua fitness. Class size is limited 50 Participants.

All leagues are 8 weeks of scheduled games. All grass infields! Registration is now open. League play begins week of June 11th. Payment must be made for spot to be assured.

Deer Park Karate
We teach Taekwondo and Shorin-Ryu. Within its content is a great variety of defensive and offensive maneuvers such as counters to punches, escapes from wrist grabs, bear hugs, take downs, many hand and foot striking techniques that will give everyone great fighting skills and the ability to defend him or her self in most situations.
$40/month for 3 days a week

Water Aerobics
Come join us this year for our first ever Water Aerobics during the day. Class will meet from 11:15 to 12:15 at the Pool. Bring a noodle to each class and that's all you need. Class is geared to all of those who are interested in getting moving in the water to get some good exercise. It's a great low impact aerobic activity for all ages. Taught by A.C.E. Certified Instructor, Lacy Stole.

Introducing....
Roscoe the Rec Dog! Roscoe is the new Parks and Recreation mascot and everywhere Roscoe goes, so does the fun. Roscoe enjoys all things that a normal dog would. He loves playing all types of ball games, going to the park to exercise and hanging out with his friends anytime he can. Be sure to keep up with Roscoe by checking into the Parks and Recreation website whenever you can. There will be weekly updates on what Roscoe is doing with Parks and Recreation. Be sure to say hi and give Roscoe a hi-paw whenever you see him out and about. Roscoe is ready for summer, are you ready?

New Payment and Registration Features- Pay Online!
Online registration and payments now available for most of our programs. An account must be set-up, either online or in-person. This new feature will allow the user to sign up for an available program and make their monthly payments through the internet, thus saving a trip to the Parks and Recreation office.
The reservation process may be started online as well. You can check building availability and tentatively book your reservation, following up in the Parks and Recreation office within 48 hours. Those renting the Community Center and Pavilion will need to show proof of residency.
