MISSION STATEMENT
We are a unique team of Fire Prevention Professionals dedicated to protecting the lives of the citizens of and the visitors to The City of Deer Park by providing the highest quality of inspections, training and investigations within the City of Deer Park.
The Deer Park Fire Marshal's Office is comprised of one full time Fire Marshal and 9 volunteer Inspector. We provide certificate of occupancy inspections to establishments prior to opening for business and subsequent annual inspections each calendar year. Some businesses are inspected more frequently if deemed necessary by the Fire Marshal. Other inspections conducted by this office include inspections of all schools, daycare facilities, foster homes, special inspections of all facilities upon request. We also provide plan review for all new construction.
The Deer Park Fire Marshals Office offers a wide variety of training and presentations for schools, daycare facilities, community organizations and businesses, these include fire extinguisher training utilizing a fire simulator, and the student will extinguish a live fire with a portable fire extinguisher. Fire prevention programs are available for all age groups, from children in daycare facilities where Sparky will interact with the children to fire prevention programs for adults.
Through these programs and many more to come we hope to prevent fires within our community.
