This camp is created to teach lifesaving skills in a fun hands-on environment. To participate, youth should have an interest in water and pool environment, must be able to swim two laps (100 meters) without stopping and be able to tread water for 2 minutes.
Junior Lifeguarding Camp is designed for kids ages 11-15 and helps to build a foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills in preparation for a future job opportunity as a lifeguard.
Weeks will be packed with coaching in water safety awareness, non-certified CPR & First Aid, rescue techniques, and physical skill development activities. Participants will enjoy a variety of water and land activities designed to promote fitness, self-esteem, and teamwork that will enrich the future of each camper.
