1. How do I get a library card?

Library cards are issued free of charge to any Texas state resident age 4 and up. You will need to fill out a library card application form and present your Texas Photo ID/Driver's License with the correct mailing/physical address. If the address on your ID/TDL is incorrect, you must also provide two (2) proofs of correct address.

2. How can I renew my books?

Renewal services are available for patrons in person, over the phone, or through our online catalog. Contact the library at 281-478-7208 for assistance or log in using your library card and PIN numbers to access your online account.

3. How much is an overdue fine?

Books - 10¢ a day
Audio books & Kits - 25¢ a day
DVD - $1.00 a day

4. Can I check out books if I don't have my library card with me?

Yes, just present a valid photo ID at the Circulation Desk when you are ready to check out.

5. What if the library does not have the material I need?

If a particular book or magazine article you wish to read is not in our collection, we may be able to get it for you from another library. Requests for Interlibrary Loan (ILL) can be made at the library's Information Desk or by completing an online ILL Request form.

6. Does the library have Wi-Fi access?

The City of Deer Park offers wireless connectivity to patrons of Deer Park Public Library. The network name is DPPL_Public.

1. How old does a child have to be to get a library card?

Library cards are issued free of charge to any Texas state resident age 4 and up.

2. Who can sign as responsible party for a child's card?

Children under 18 must obtain parent or legal guardian signature on application. Legal guardians must show court documents proving legal guardianship of a child in order to sign for a library card.

3. What programs do you have for kids?

The library has various after school crafts for children ages 5 to 12. We also have Toddler and Preschool Storytimes available.
