Benefits of LEPC Membership

Benefits of LEPC Membership

uMake a difference in your community.
uA chance to build networks. Serves as a link between citizens, industry, and government in emergency planning and preparedness for the community.
uProvides ongoing educational and training opportunities for each of the members.
uA functioning LEPC is required by EPCRA and several grant programs.  If you have an active LEPC, you may be able to get funds for training, planning, exercises and equipment.
uParticipate in exercises and drills to improve community's preparedness.
uOne person can't do it all.  You need a panel of experienced people with appropriate backgrounds.  They can assist local governments in preparing emergency response plans and evaluating the need for response resources.
