Fire Station 2 on Pasadena Blvd. was replaced with a new larger facility at 950 E. Pasadena Blvd and serves as the central station. This was all possible because of our generous citizens who approved a 2021 General Obligation Bond recognizing the need for a station to house the largest group of firefighters within a facility that no longer requires extensive annual repairs. The beautiful station will be around for many years serving the citizens of Deer Park.
Station 2 is also the home of “Sparky” the fire dog. Unlike other dogs, the fire department’s “Sparky” never needs to be fed or taken for a walk. “Sparky” is made out of metal. He still has the traditional fire dog colors of white with black spots. You can find “Sparky” on guard inside the day room area.
