With construction completed in 2007, station 3 is the newest station. The need to increase fire protection coverage to rapidly expanding east side of the city established the need for a third station. Station 3 also serves as the primary administration station for fire and EMS services. The Fire Chief, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief of EMS and Fire Marshal are located at this station.
Station 3 is also the location where the full time paramedics are housed. Built for 24 hour service, this station has a full day room, kitchen area and sleeping quarters that are separate from the administrative area. City Emergency Services such as the Office of Emergency Management, Ambulance Billing and Fire/EMS grant preparations are located here as well. The fire fighter’s memorial wall is located here and can be visited by the public 24 hours a day.
