Fitness Classes at the DAC
ZUMBA
High-energy fitness class that combines Latin and international music with dance moves, creating a fun and effective workout.
Barre
A low-impact, full-body workout that combines elements of ballet, Pilates, and yoga.
Pilates
Strengthen your core, improve posture, and enhance body awareness in this low-impact, floor-based class. Mat Pilates focuses on controlled movements, breathwork, and alignment to tone muscles and support spinal health. Suitable for all levels with modifications provided.
Pilates
Water aerobics is a low-impact workout performed in shallow water that improves strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health. The water’s resistance provides an effective full-body workout while reducing stress on the joints.
Strong Flow Yoga
An energetic and empowering vinyasa-style class designed to build strength, stamina, and flexibility. Flow through dynamic sequences linked with breath while cultivating mental focus and resilience. Great for those looking for a challenging, athletic practice. Some yoga experience recommended.
Beginners Yoga
This foundational class is ideal for those new to yoga or anyone wanting to refresh their practice. You’ll learn basic poses, proper alignment, and breathing techniques in a welcoming, supportive environment. Build strength, flexibility, and confidence as you explore the mind-body connection.
Chair Yoga
A gentle and accessible class designed for anyone needing extra support. Using a chair for seated and standing poses, this practice improves flexibility, strength, and balance without getting down on the floor. Perfect for seniors, those with limited mobility, or anyone recovering from injury. No yoga experience needed.
