Swim Lessons at the DAC

The Dow Active Complex offers swim lessons for every age and skill level, helping swimmers build confidence, safety, and technique in the water. All programs follow the Jeff Ellis Swimming (JES) curriculum, focused on developing skills that last a lifetime.

Preschool + Parent (Ages 2–4)

Introduce your child to the water with the guidance of a parent or guardian. Together, you’ll explore water adjustment, safety, and early movement skills to prepare for future lessons. A parent/guardian must be in the water for each class.

Preschool Level (Ages 3–5)

Our youngest independent swimmers gain comfort and confidence through fun, age-appropriate instruction that teaches basic skills and water safety.

Youth Levels (Ages 6–14)

Progressive lessons move from essential skills to stroke refinement, endurance, and overall water fitness. Each level builds on the last for continued growth.

Private Lessons (Ages 4–18)

Separate from group lessons, private swim lessons allow the instructor to personalize each session to fit your goals and schedule. Perfect for all levels—from beginner to competitive swimmer.

No matter your child’s age or ability, there’s a place for them to learn, grow, and have fun in the water at the DAC!
