Deer Park Public Library Activities
SPOTLIGHT: Summer Reading Program
The Children’s Reading Program for ages 0-11 is designed to stimulate an interest for books and the library in children before they are ready to read on their own, as well as encourages life-long reading habits. Visit the Library's website and learn more about their free, weekly activities!
Materials to assemble the crafts are provided to children. There will be options for children ages 5-8 and ages 9-12. The monthly crafts take place on Tuesdays at 3:30PM.
Move Matinees are every Thursday at 4PM. The movie is free, and the Library will provide snacks! Adults must accompany children 12 and under to PG-13 movies.
Story time programs incorporate books, finger plays, songs, and activities to promote interest in reading and lifelong learning. Story times for infants will take place on Wednesdays at 10:15AM. Toddler story times are on Thursdays at 10:15AM, and preschool story times are on Thursdays at 11AM.
