IBCCES - Certified Autism Center

Exciting News for Our Community!

We are proud to announce that the Deer Park Parks & Recreation Department has officially been designated as a Certified Autism Center™ through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES)!

This worldwide certification means that more than 80% of our staff have completed specialized training to better understand and support individuals with autism and sensory needs.

This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to creating inclusive, welcoming, and supportive experiences for ALL members of our community. From programs and events to everyday visits, we are working to ensure our spaces are accessible, informed, and thoughtfully designed.

Through our partnership with IBCCES, we also have access to valuable resources to help tailor programs, events, and marketing materials to better serve individuals and families with sensory needs.

We are honored to be on track to become only the third Parks & Recreation department in Texas to achieve this certification.
